He had a 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe when he was twenty years old and always admired that style.
When the opportunity presented itself, Fred Tucker bought this particular 1963 Corvette in Sault Ste. Marie in 2006. It was in storage for many years and needed some TLC. Tucker knew he could give it the attention it required. With the help of his friend Mike Moran and his son Fred Jr., this project became a three year frame off restoration that included a new engine, rebuilt mechanical parts and all new leather interior and upholstery.
This Corvette features power windows, air-conditioning, wooden tilt steering wheel, factory side exhaust and sixteen inch wheels and tires. It is a standard four speed close ratio Muncie. Trusting completely in his friend’s talent, Mike Moran painted this Corvette black for Fred and the end result was total perfection.
