Air conditioner setting

I just charged my A/C in my 84 vette, The a/c works fine on all settings except it won't go on high. Maybe the blower is bad? please help!!!!

You will find the blower on the passenger side of the engine on the fire wall. Directly underneath it you will find the blower relay. Follow the wires from it to a connector between the exhaust and the firewall on the other side of the a/c coil at the rear of the engine on the passenger side. The connector has a large red wire, the black and I think a pink or pink and black striped wire. Of concern is the black wire, it provides the ground for the blower while in the high mode. Mine the connector was melted and the black wire was not making contact, so I removed the connector and spliced the wires together and now it works on all three settings. I found it by tracing the wiring from a Haynes Manual.

Eagle85C4 is right it won't be the motor......

If it was the motor it would be locked up I would think. I had the same problem and it was the conection......
