I read somewhere a week or so ago about the door on the air breather.. on being closed the other open during regular driving?? My 84 vette , as far as I can tell, has both sides open all the time. Can someone give me some input or direction to the threads discussing this.

Thanks a bazillion, Dave

Start your question over please. As in, ask it another way because I'm not familiar with what you're referring to--
..."door on the air breather"... What? By 'air breather' are you referring to your air filter housing--which has a cover?
Someone will come along and maybe decipher what you're asking about.

The damper doors should both open when the air reaches about 131 degrees. Take the vacuum hose off and suck on it if you don't have a vacuum tool...the doors should close. If not ...check the linkage to the doors. If everything look ok...replace the temperature sensor...located inside the air breather between the two injectors.

Sorry for the confusion, It was really hot today, brain cookin while typin.
JonM, Thanks for the advice I'll check it in the morning. We're pretty country here so I'll have to suck on to check.
