What is this held onto the carb by? Mine seems to be slightly loose. Any ideas?

TR

There is a stud a few inches long that screws into the center of the carb. It then holds the top of the air cleaner lid down using a wing nut. Simple and foolproof (usually)...

Okay, I did see that. I was just wondering if anything else is suspending it down. Thanks! :)

If after the wing nut is tightened down the air cleaner is still loose, it could mean your carb needs to be tightened down to the intake manifold.

Hmm...I don't think my carb is loose. I think just the air cleaner housing like you described.

Tightening down the carb is easy. Just 4 bolts. But DON'T overtorque them either!
