i just had a remanufactured engine put in my 84 (and fuel pump). it runs like crap, idles high, the exhaust smells like pure gasonline. i've only driven it a couple miles and had to feather the pedal on a few occasions to keep her from stalling.
its obvious that the engine is getting way too much fuel. i get no service engine light. could this be the ecm's fault, the map sensor, pressure regulator, idle air valve? or is this just something to do with the way the crossfire was reinstalled causing this? i'm not a mechanic at all. is this something i will have to go to the dealer to fix? any tips?
thanks in advance for the advice. please help, i'm dying to drive this thing.
