All this talk about vinegar and rust....

I decided to try it. I took a small piece from my vettes convertible top with some rust on it, put it in a cup with vinegar and left it overnight and...... well you be the judge......

Ya can't argue with that!

Before I broke down and bought a brass tumbler, I used to slosh my dirty shell casings in vinegar to clean them before reloading them. It worked pretty well.

Yep, just vinegar and I did very little scrubbing 75% of the rust came off with out scrubbing the other 25% I used a dish pad.

Wow, that's amazing. Definitely a cheap and effective alternative. I'll have to keep this in mind next time.

And there aren't any lasting negative effects of this? I can't see a flaw in this.
