I took it for a test ride. Wow! What power! So I say to my self..self, let's punch it and see what it will do. I punched it...it down shifted (automatic) revved up and "GRIND!!! Shakes car big time! I left off the gas and said...what the F#$%^k! I punched it again..."GRIND"! Slower drove it back to the dealer and said "No Thank You"! I told the sales man about the transmission and the guy says he will knock $500 off the price. $8000. I said no thanks and quickly ran away. The crap some dealers will pull! I think they know the tranny is bad and are trying to pawn it off on some unsuspecting soul.
Y'all be careful out there now!

Smart move. A tranny rebuild is $1,500 - $2,000. And if the tranny needs work, there's probably other stuff that needs work too. Keep looking, you'll find the car you want.
