Thanks.

My "Red Sled" as I call it has going into the ten's with a single 10.986 run.

Last year's combo that went into the the ten's used ls6 heads and intake with a custom VetteDoctors camshaft and tuning. It sported and still does, 3.90 rear and 5000 stall converter. Long tube headers, vararam intake and CCW drag package wheels and tire with skinnies up front. It sports QA1 adjustable shocks as well as the front sway bar removed.

Over the winter, I had it all refreshed becasue I have about 3000 passes on it (that is correct, three thousand).

We had a new cam put in and Dart LS1 heads with Fast LSX intake.

Here is the pass right before the 10 at 11.02

Redgar those are some impresive numbers you posted,Great job.

As for the Z06 I have a freind who owns one and he opened it up in front of me today ( I wont go for a ride in it as I know i would want to trade in my C5 for one) anyways the car left like it was shot out of a cannon and sounded like a race car.To me this is just the coolest car as its a race car in stock form from the show room.

If your getting tens out of your C5 imagine what you could do with one of those

I would say the new C6 is every mans dream now

TIRES

REDGAR:
Great pics. Greater times!!! In my old drag racing days I Had bought a 1956 2 door chev with no engine and an auto trans for $65. After a long year and mucho bucks I ended up with a 302 and a close ratio Muncie 4 speed a 6.17:1 rear and the biggest tires that would fit in the wheel well. The best I could ever get was in the low 12's about 116 M.P.H. I ran with tubes and 5lbs. Looking at your pics I can imagine your tire pressure is low. My question is how much do you inflate to and do you use tubes?

I run the ET Steets at 11.5-12.5. No tubes in the tires.

hey I see you are in New Jersey. Have you checked out the Corvette Challenge in Englishtown? We have a race there tomorrwo March 18. We are expecting 80+ Corvettes in all variations.
