Hey everyone, I'm taking apart my alternator so I can't paint its cover. My problem is, how does the axle come off? I got the fan blade off, but I can't get the axle out.

I'm assuming you are referring to the rotor? If that's the case, it's a press fit into the bearing. You need a three eared puller. Set the ears around the front housing where the bearing sits and apply pressure to the shaft with the puller's threaded shaft. It's easy if you've ever used a puller before. Don't hammer it out, otherwise, you could crack the housing.
