Aluminum Flywheel

What are the advantages of an aluminum flywheel. I've added a Keisler 5 speed to my 'mildly built' small block and I was wondering whether the expense would be worth it.

Aluminum flywheel reduces the weight of the rotating mass on the engine. The engine will rev up faster but with the torque you probably have you won't feel a tremendous difference and you might find it slightly odd to move off from a stop. Having said this I probably would do it for the extra performance and most likely will when I add the Keisler five sp to my car.
