I owned 3 c4s in a row for about 12 years. I always found that the stock aluminum radiator was more than adequate to cool the car if maintained properly. Even in stop-and-go traffic with the a/c on my temps never went over 230, and even this was quite rare, it was mostly around 220. This is a perfectly normal operating temperature, nothing wrong with that. In fact, my 2008 coupe will occasionally get that high in stop and go traffic as well. I think that people are overly concerned about temps, unless it's hitting the redline you don't have anything to worry about. I won't chime in about lower thermostats, it's such a tired old argument that has been debated to death, other than to say that I have never, ever, understood how they make your car run "cooler".
