Am Radio Problem

I have a 1998 coupe and the AM radio has a lot of static. The FM is OK. Does anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, most have it and it may also depend on the station. This is a GM problem. You could try an inline filter on the pwer wires (requires cutting into the harness) from Radio Shack.

HI there,
You may have a loose ground source from the frame to the body. The antenna module may not be working correctly. You may have a loose ground going from the frame to the engine.
All these things will affect AM reception.
