Anniston Police search for stolen 1973 Corvette

ANNISTON, AL (WBRC) - Anniston police are asking the public to look out for a stolen car that should stand out from the crowd.
Police are looking this time for a classic: a 1973 Chevrolet Corvette. The silver car has an Alabama vintage car tag number of VDT 494.
Captain Allen George said investigators believe the car was stolen between December 26 and 27 but haven't released the owner's name.
Anniston Police released four photos of the car from multiple angles on their Facebook page. The car has the familiar Chevrolet "rally wheels" from the 1960s and 1970s and is part of the third generation of Corvettes that were made from 1968 until 1982, when they were redesigned.
Anyone with information on the car's whereabouts should contact Anniston Police at 256-238-1800 or send a private message through the department's Facebook page.
