Another entry for the 61/62 project page

I'll start a new thread so as not to hijack the other one I chimed in on...
Well, my little project has been "on hold" for a number of months now as I have a couple cars to finish for others, but here's where we left off. The 61 body is in primer and as soon as I find time to prep & paint the thing I can start assembly. All the little modules are done & ready to go back on. For now it sits awaiting its turn...

Here it is coming apart. I based my body tackle after GM's. Sorry I don't have too many general photos. Mostly just detail junk and I don't think anyone is interested in seeing restored foot pedals or such...

Don't be so sure about that.

The garage looks real clean and bright. I love white walls (and I'm not talking about tires ).

Yeah, the new shop is also one of the projects that "got in the way" of 61 completion. It is all white inside with enough lighting to get a tan if you're not careful. Sure beats the old "dungeon" I had.

I use the distributor machine a few times a year. Happily, it has been reunited with its correct base cabinet instead of my home-made stand shown above.

I really hope I can get back on the 61 in time to drive it this summer. Kinda miss the old girl.

Tires are just whatever was on it when I bought it. They aren't much. They'll do fine for break in & then we'll put on some new ones.

The body lift works great but I think I'm going to add a tilt control mechanism so I don't need the play sand for a balance weight. :gap
