This just started to happen. When I put the key in and turn it to on or even start the car my front and rear lights flash. When I use the turn signals they work fine. I replaced the flasher thinking that could be the problem. NOPE. I looked all over for emergency flasher button. Does this car even have one? It's probabbly something stupid. It seems the car would have a flasher button but I can't find it. Checked steering column and everywhere else. Thanks in advance for any help.:bash

Hazard flashers weren't available from the factory as an option until 1966 (switch mounted on the parking brake bracket, just above the handle), and became standard equipment in 1967, switch button mounted on the column.

Do the lights continue to flash when you have the key in the "on" position? When do they stop flashing?

They bstill flash even if the car is running. The only way to stop it is to pull the flasher, but then I don't have turn signals.

Had a similar problem with an imported turn signal switch from LICS. Changed to a Lectric Limited domestic switch and the problem is gone

Unless a previous owner installed an aftermarket hazard flasher whose remnants are still working, you either have a short in the turn signal switch or something in the switch has come adrift.
