Am planning on installing a 2 post lift in my pole barn and since we recently purchased a 2000 C5 Convt. (also own a 72 442) want to make sure what ever I purchase in the way of a lift (looking at Bend Pak & Eagle lifts) the arms will fit under a C5.
Has any one run across a lift that won't fit under a C5? While we are on the subject, has anyone had any good or bad experiences with Bend Pak Or Eagle lifts.........

Hi there,
Your static height, meaning the height of the legs when down is the most critical part of this lift purchase.
I have to have a certain lift for c5, ONLY because equal length arms make it easier to place the pads, so I do not have to use the lift pad tools used by GM.
You can purchase an asymetrical length arms lift, however, it will be a little more difficult to use on c5.
As for lifts, I have used many, and they all should serve you well.
I have a preference for the Rotary equal length arm lifts, but that is just me.

C4C5, thanks for the info on the lift. Sounds like a sysmetrical lift is the way to go then? From what I have been able to deduct from the info I can find on the different lift web sites the difference between asymetrical & symetrical lifts is asymetrical allows the vehicle to be off to one end to allow the doors to be opened while up off the ground? Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks again. Greg in Michigan.......

I got the Rotary Lift info in the mail today........their 7000 lb lifts have a mim. adapter height of 3 15/16 in.
low step height is 6 1/8 in.
9000 lb lift mim. adapter height is 5 in.
low step is 7 1/8 in.
going to the atuo shop for the school district I work for (I'm retired and drive a school bus part time to pay for my toys) they a have 5 of the 9000 lb Rotary lifts there..going to see if the lift arms will fit under my C5........do you know off the top of your head what the clearance is on a C5?............thanks.......

Just recieved the set of lift pads that I ordered yesterday......so
I was able to check the clearance height with the lift pads in place........clearance is 4 3/4 inches.........
