Any C5 Experience with Kumho tires?

I am evaluating non run flat replacement tires.Does anyone have any C5 experience with Kumho MX series tires as related to noise, wear and specifically does the construction/design interfere with the tire pressure monitoring system?

I had them on a C4. I think they are OK. I will get them for the C5 as well when the time comes.

I bought a pair for my rear tires. they were kuhmo etasca or something like that. they sucked. i only got 6000 miles out of them. so much for o 220 treadwear rating. make sure your treadwear rating is at least 300. this was normal driving conditions.

Just installed a new set and I luv them. Especially for the money, they are very quiet and hold firmly to the pavement. Great buy, click on my pic in the sig for a better view.

Agree with wallstAL. Bought them at 14,000 miles when my F1SC's were worn out. Have 2900 miles on them and I luv 'em!! Best bang for the buck in tires. Very good at the track...daily driving...MUCH Better in rain!!

I read that Kumo has a 'new' run flat out on the market. I'm pushing 17 k on my runflats, and probably will go with the KD's g -force. Had them on my Z28 SS and they were sweet! I hear there great for Auto-cross. Saw Kumo's in some Vette magazine a few months ago. I would call the manufacturer. Wheel and Tire shops are behind the times.

A lot of C4 guys use them. Great tire/very cheap. I don't think they make a runflat model though and I'm not sure if they have the correct sizes for the C5.

Runflats/C5 only/Kumho ECSTA MX XRP's

Read the latest specs on these tires. Introduced on 11/20/02. A better runflat than stock tires, etc, but what I like...............is the fact that they have extra rim protectors to reduce the risk of pothole and curb damage to alloy rims. Considering my front's are smashed a little, I'll consider them! Jeannie
