....moisture and dust on the inside of the dash/gauge "glass" (I'm sure it's plastic)? I just got the car a short time ago and noticed while finally driving it this weekend that the glass/plastic is marked on the inside. VERY annoying - but moreso it's disturbing. Is this a piece that would be difficult to replace? It seems like it would be.

HI there,
This is usually caused by detail shops that wet down the dash board, and then blow compressed air to dry it off. This would force the water and dust inside the bezel plastic, creating the condition.
It would take about 2 hours to remove the cluster, the plastic, and then reinstall the cluster.

Ahhhhh...thanks so much, c4c5. :) I'm bringing the car in today for several warranty issues - I'll speak to the service manager about having them take car of the annoyance. Have a great day! :w

Also another thought. If your not the original owner, it's possible the previous owner had the gauge cluster out for whatever reason and failed to properly clean the inside of the "glass" before re-installing. JMHO

Robert :)

Well I tried to get it covered under warranty - no go. There is some accident damage (ergo, broken driver's door) and they feel that broke the seal and allowed dust, etc. in. I'll have it taken care of when I have the door replaced.
