Any pix of tranny coolers installed?

I am installing a B&M 24,000 this week. Does anyone have pictures of where they mounted theirs? Where did you run the lines? Any advise on placement of cooler or lines?

i'll take a pic when the rain stops but i ran mine up under the front fairing to the radiator and zip tied it so it won't hit the fan up front. i had to take a piece of flared brake tube and make a 180 degree bend to make it work since there is no room under the car by the return line from the radiator to get the rubber hoses on. i also used a 3/4" bit to drill a hole in the fairing to run the lines back

Cool! I was planning on cutting the holes for the lines, but just had some apprehension about performing surgery on my baby. I would like to see the pics.

in this pic you can see the 180* brake line i used to make the connection to the hose. it's alittle hard to see but you can see the return line above it.

Man Mic, I been waitin' for this, but your photography leaves a little to be desired my freind Is there any way you could give a better perspective, and or perhaps a little more insight on where you got the stuff, what exactly is needed and how to go about the install?

I'm kind of lame when it comes to improvisation. And is that ZIP TIES you are holding that on with? :blow C'MON MAN :L

sheez where do i begin... on the front fan there is a 3 way bracket holding the fan to the radiator. i slipped the cooler up there and centered it and zipped tied it in. didn't realize i forgot to trim them down :eyerole where i drilled the holes for the tranny rubber lines, they come out at the bottom of the radiator. the bottom line going into the radiator is the return line. you couldn't run the hose back in a 180 degree angle to fit the tranny cooler installation kit. so what i did was found an old motor that the owners friend of http://www.FBodyCentral.com and make another fitting that was rolled into an 180 degree U fitting that screws into the radiator to keep the radiator circulating/cooling running into the cooler to the return line. works good no matter what my water or oil temp is the car shifts nice and hard each time. before it only shifted hard cold and a firm shift warm. i also use Valvoline synthetic tranny fluid.

you can buy this kit from any auto parts store. get the biggest you can get. i think its like 24,000 gvw. it's about 15 inces x 10 inches. mine came with an installation kit but i also bought another one just incase the hose wasn't long enough but it was. i think the cooler is about 50 bucks and the installation kit was 20 bucks.

if you look up top right below the hose you see a metal fitting. this fitting is the one i had to fabricate into a U bend so the line would fit straight on and not get kinked into a 180 degree angle to fit back on the radiator fitting. it's pretty tight in that corner of the car.
