Hello, I am new to this forum, and new to LT-1 ownership. Just recently purchased a 1971 LT-1 convertible, love it, but i think that all car covers are not created equal. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on how to control moisture while stored-would love to hear some opinions on this...thanks in advance.

Welcome to the CAC! Great taste on your choice of Vettes. (OK, I'm biased.) I have 4 different cars, and 4 different covers. Probably the best one is on my LT-1. I'll check tomorrow to see what it is. What conditions are you up against as far as hot/cold, floor, etc. for storage?

my conditions? i live in minnesota-everything from 25 below to over 100 in the summer-humid as well. my garage is heated, but only to about 50 in the winter. the car was purchased from "71vert", a cac member. i am blown away by this vehicle, to say the least. couple small fixes to do-but very pleased with this ride.

Congrats!

I bought a "flannel" for mine when it's inside. Nice and soft, won't scratch. It also protects against the elements such as water, but I'm not sure to what extent. I have a different cover for the outside that came with the car, but I'm not sure of the brand.

I bought a Noah cover and am quite pleased with it--Indoor/Outdoor--great fit-- you need to take off the antenna and mark the spot where the ant. goes after you fit the cover where you want it-I used a soldering iron and burned a small hole about the size of a large pea--the burning seals the outside edges of the hole as opposed to cutting and leaving the edges. Reinstall the antenna and ready to go--on the bottom side I put duct tape around the hole just for safe measure--they provide a small plastic ring for that, so I used that on the top. I bought the carry bag for another 5 bucks. The only drawback that I have seen so far is it does take up a little room if you were going to haul it on a trip.
