Anyone Collect Vintage Hot Rod Magazines?

I really need some help if at all possible. My father-in-law claims that in an issue of Hot Rod between 1961 and 1963, he was named NHRA northeast regional champion at Aquasco speedway in MD. His name is Joe Alampi. If anyone can check this for me or help me out, please reply to this thread or email me at jmbiii@yahoo.com.

So far, I have been able to rule out the following issues: March 1961, April 1961, October 1961. FYI.

All of my copies of Hot Rod from that time period are long lost. I didn't pick it back up again until the nineties.

However, I do have some old drag racing tape that shows Aquasco a few times. I'll have to get the tapes back from my mechanic and take a look for ya.

I'm sure if you e-mail or call the magazine they can and will easily look back on the magazine and see what the story and who the person was.

Thanks all- I actually did contact Hot Rod some time ago, and they told me they simply did not have the information archived. That is why I have to resort to looking for people who still have the magazines.
