I'm talking about the exhaust tips! I installed a Corsa cat-back, it went really easy but at the end, one pair of tips (pass side) is about 3/4 inch lower than the driver side.

I'm not saying tilted left/right, that's easy to fix. I think the tips (as they exit the muffler) are welded at more of an angle, it's hard to say now that it's all installed.

Does anyone else have one side lower?

Thanks!

Left

Right (passenger)

Both

It doesn't look like much in the photo's, but it's between a half & 3/4 inch difference - lower on pass side.

I like the "tucked up tight" look for Vette exhaust. I may play with the pass side some more.

As I think about it, if I drop the leading edge of the muff that would bring the tips closer into the rear body!!!! Maybe ok after all.

Thanks Warren,

I talked to Corsa today, they were doing inventory but took the time. I just need to fiddle a little more & the pass tips should line up.

The install went really good, sorry you had trouble with yours. The tips have raised Corsa script on each one - very cool.

When you did yours, did you have the Vette up pretty high?

Hi Warren,

Got the pass side tips to line up. I think both sides could be a little "tighter" to the body. Factory install is about 3/4 inch off the fascia I believe. This is about 1 & 1/4. How far are yours off the body plastic fascia? Maybe need to fab a custom hanger where it mounts to the body.

Did not need a torch (gotta love working on a Calif. car - I know - I used to live in Massachusetts - everything corrodes after the 1st winter)

The sound is to die for - It's exactly what I wanted. Zero resonance at moderate throttle. Race car at wot.

:) :) :)

I'm drooling!
Any way to get a sound byte on those two modes?

You can hear the sound bites on Corsa's website. I think the closest to the LT1 vette is the Camaro.
Love those dual shotguns...

Sorry don't know how to do sound, but the exhaust has that "popping" sound when you coast down in 1st or 2nd, like almost a backfire but not. It's neat.

I'll post a pic tomorrow after I wash her down.

windows has a sound recorder click start>all programs>accessories>entertainment all you need is a cheap microphone and you have it.

Here's mine

So I could plug the mic into my laptop & record it?

Your recording sounded like a Harley, was that your Vette or a Harley? :)

Nice site Warren...I saved it in my favorites for future reference.
