Anyone ever buy a crate motor from these guys?

Nope but when I was checking around on crate motors a few years ago I realized the shipping was going to add a chunk of change to the price.

GM Crate Engine

Several years ago I purchased a GM crate engine and picked it up at a GM dealership. I don't recall having to pay any extra big$ for shipping.
*GM 350, 4 bolt main, 250hp (better than my CA 170hp L48) for $1500.00

I lived 4 hours north (200+ miles) of my brother-in-law who was going to do the engine swap and I ordered, paid and had him pick up my engine at a dealership in his town. Trailered the 78 down to him and the swap began!
This may be something to consider.

no shipping charges on this one.. If you use the 'buy it now'

Last year I bought a GM Performance 330 HP 350 through one of the dealers on the GM web page. They are located in a suburb of Chicago and I live about 90 miles away north of Milwaukee. The dealer had a driver deliver the engine in a pick-up truck with a lift gate for twenty dollars. Because the purchase was through the internet there were no taxes which saved me around $170. The engine is great and it even came with a 12 month warrenty backed by Chevrolet.
