:confused I'm thinking that would be a sweet mod to do after all the others are done.:L

Im going to shave my rear antenna. What kit would you use to shave the door locks and handle? I am going to be doing some body work this spring and that would be cool to add. I also want to add an alarm that puts up a perimeter around the car. How do you get out of the vehicle? Do u need to push the button?

do a yahoo or google search for shaved door, you'll get a ton of hits. I haven't got to the point of actually researching brands/components yet.

as for getting out, you leave the inside handle, and open the door as normal

Certainly old enough to shave, -but....

-considering the relative rarity of C3's on the road nowadays (some young'ins have never seen one), and owing the obviously unique if clean-lined design configuration of the C3's exterior Handles/locks, -it would be a shame if indeed a travesity to remove these delightfully keen signature design features from a critical design apprasial standpoint (although if one elected to sand-blast the handles, and paint body-color, --that would seem a reasonable aesthetic compromise); --as to the Antenna, some folk like to remove the antenna in favor of a simple wire (still plastic-sheathed is ok) arranged beneath the aft-deck using duct-tape, -although for distant stations it may not be as receptive in the horizontal-plane of orientation...

I've come up with autoloc for a brand there are some others I would really like to get one that I can use an alarm on. slickcar.com has some. Do you guys think the 35lb solenoid will be good?

You could just disconnect the rods that run from the exterior door handle. Then you could have yoru cake and eat it to

I mostly ran across 35lb's but did see a 50. Don't recall the site

I am sooooo doing this mod. Personnaly I dont care if the car is original, the previous owners have already messed that up for me. And since my dad gave me this car it isn't costing me anything except the labour and new parts.
