Anyone ever used 5 Star Shine?

I am pretty confused about all that's out there to say the least! I am still looking for something to land on! After you try the Zaino let me know what you think ;help . I think I am going to order this Klasse "All In One" and give it a try. I heard that you don't want to use a natural chamois, becasue it removes the oils from the paint or something! Like I said before I stay in a state of :confused confusion, have you heard this? Any experience with the micro-fiber towels and these kinds of things?

As long as we are all complaining, why do you guys bring up a new (to me) wax just after I ordered Zaino? It is supposed to arrive on Monday. Now I’m wondering if there isn’t something better. Thanks a lot!;) By the way all of the cars look great.

:_rock Pretty awesome looking wheels, are you going to put the same size all around or stay 17" on front and 18' on the rear? I think the wheels are pretty choice for sure!!!!

By the way I checked out autogeek.net, and think I will try a few things from the web site. Klasse "All In One" is that what you use or the more expensive stuff? :confused Do youk know anything about this all in one stuff? I love black when it shines, just doesn't get much better than that!

Your C-5 being a daily driver you would have to clean it at least once a week. I only drive mine on the week-ends or small trips around, I have a company car for work thank GOD! Have you had your Vette for a while? Just bought mine about 6 months ago, I have had some older Vettes, but this is my first C-5 and I love it. Do you like the new C-6?

You never said whether you were going to make it to the 2005 CAC Cruise Fest in Bowling Green or not.

BOOPSC5 - those rims are great. They'll make that even more of a fine looking ride!

Bill - You can always try the Zaino and then if you're not satisfied try the 5 star shine. I like it because it eliminated waxing my car every month, and my car stays cleaner longer. Like the advertisement says - dirt just doesn't stick to it. The web site explains it in great detail.

Rain - wish I could help you out bud, but doing mine just about killed me. I did it in the heat and humidity last summer and I thought I was gonna die! BTW I've meant to ask the name of your band, and I want to know where I can get my hands on the CD mentioned too.

Good luck with whatever y'all use.

The ZO7 wheel is currently only available in 18 X 9.5 and 18 X 11
That's the set-up Im going with.

I'm currently using the all in one and the sealant glaze.
I just recently got into fine detail on the paint. The tough part is getting it where you want it, then all you have to do is maintain it.
I can hook you up w/ a very informative person that got my paint where it currently is.

I bought it in 2000. I love the car and I only have five payments left.

Possibly if time permits.

BoopsC5,

The wheels really look super! Do you still have run flat tires or do you use them? I assume when you put the new wheels on you are going to have to buy new tires, right? Are you going to install the run flats or not?

Is that the "All In One" Klasse or something else? I have a few stone chips on the front of my car that I checked into getting the front re-painted and all the experts say not to re-paint it because nothing will be as good as the factory paint. There is a lady that comes into the local dealership where I live that is suppose to be able to touch up these areas so you will never know it. I bought a bra for it last year, the owner before me never had one, and this car was his daily driver for a while. He was an attorney who drove it back and forth from Cinn. Ohio to Dayton, Ohio. Like I said it is not bad; just bothers me. I guess no one else ever sees it but me. At least mine is paid for but I had to lay out the cash and that was tuff to do, but to find a used C-5 with everything I wanted was rough and I looked at hundreds before I settle on this one. Pretty well searched autotrader.com. about every evening for about a year! I did a carfax on this one and a few other ones, landed on this one, went and drove it on a Saturday, bought it on the spot and the rest is history as they say. I love it, I had some older ones but this one drives so good and has all the luxury items, like memory seating, dual air controls, HUDS and etc. with a 6-speed :Steer and to find all of this for a price I could afford was not easy. They say half the fun of buying a Corvette is looking, not real sure I agree with that; it got OLD after a while!!! No more than I drive one I couldn't see buying a new one, not only could I not afford one but couldn't really justify it in my own mind. This will more than likely be with me for the rest of my time on this round ball we call earth suspended and rotating in the sky!

Is your C-5 a coupe, looks like it in the picture, is it a 6-speed or automatic?

Hope there is a big turn out in Bowling Green this year, can't wait!

Heheh, there's always something better to somebody. There are many many products out there, and most of them when used right are pretty good.

I would suggest you use your Zaino for a while and see how you like it. If there are things you don't like or wish it did better, then you have a good foundation for finding a new product. You can look for a product that you think will address the specific issues you don't like about your current one, and maybe makes compromises in areas your current product is awesome at but you don't mind if it were worse in. Every product has some kinds of compromises, and you want to find one that has the same ones you do (would you use a wax that looked super insano but only lasted two weeks? would you use one that lasted a year but looked mediocre? We all have different in-betweens on things like durability, application, appearance, smell, cost, etc).

Just trying to give some friendly advice. :)

Klasse All-In-One is a very nice product and very versatile. As the name suggests, it has cleaning ability, in this case a chemical ability. It works very well to restore gloss and remove dead dull paint from your car, but it isn't overly aggressive. It is a great first step that also leaves behind some protection. I wouldn't expect long durability from it without the Sealant Glaze, though. I find the Sealant Glaze has more darkening effect and hides minor swirls, while AIO just has a bright shine to it.

All-In-One is great on most any metal or solid surface. I've used it on candlesticks and such around the house, I've used it on porcelain countertops and sinks. It's a really nice product with a million uses.

You can also use All-In-One as a prep step/base to using Zaino. This can be a lot easier than the wash, polish, wash again steps that Zaino otherwise requires. You can wash your car with regular carwash, use AIO, then apply your Zaino. You can also use it as a base for applying a carnauba based wax.

There are a lot of great vendors to buy AIO from. Autogeek is one of them. You might price-shop just to see. Autogeek is a great vendor with really prompt shipping and excellent customer service. I believe they sell AIO in the 10 oz bottle if you just wanted to try it before commiting to a large size of it. :w

I am going to try some of that stuff this next summer, I will let you know how I like it; thanks for the web site. Without having a spare tire, jack, lug wrench and etc. I can't imagine not having run flat tires. What will you do if you have a tire get puncured or something? I know they ride a little harder and make more noise than the non-run flats but at least I can get off the road and possibly to a place that can sell me a tire or replair it. This is the first car I ever had without a spare tire and it is differant for sure; but I figure I have at least the run flats as insurance of some sort. The only other option would be a plug kit and 12 volt air compressor and that may or may not work ever time!
