I have replaced one monitor and now I need another. At $183 a pop I am a little ticked. They don't seem to read real accurately anyway. Anyone turn their's off?

Wow- $183 per sensor. How many sensors have you had to replace? Is the dealer the only source for them?

Pardon all these questions- my Z06 does not come with automatic tire pressure sensors.

Own an 03 for 3 years now and they all work fine.

Tire Sensors! TIRE SENSORS!? I don't need a stinkin computer telling me when my pressure is low! I'll check my own damn tires, thank you? No TPM's, that's why I bought a Z06! And about that SKIP SHIFT!? What kind of crazy man devised that?? It is all a vast male-dominated conspiracy, I tell ya!

I know that parts for our cars are expensive, but on the other hand, when I find someone willing to give me a good deal, I also want to share the good news....try Jennings Chevrolet in Illinois (you can google them and their site will come up...). They can be reached at 1-847-729-1000.
Every time I've ordered parts from them (and make sure they know you are calling for the "web" price) they've been anywhere from 25 to 50% less than my local dealers -- even including the shipping.

I live about 15 minutes from Jennings Chevrolet. I used to buy parts from them all the time. One time a little while ago, I went there. They acted like they did not know who the heck I was. :confused I decided not to go back. ad

Maybe I should try them again. By phone and I will ask for the "web" price!

I check my tire pressure every time I drive my car (poor old 97) just for the heck of it.
always works,but I do own a pressure gauge and not afraid of using it as I have 2 other cars with out TMS and a wife with PMS.

Trigger Creep, the "TMS" DoomDriver was originally talking about was the Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors.
