A year or two ago, there was a thread here about the MagnaStyr C5 with '53 looking panels. It was titled something like "What do you think of this?"

In the thread, someone posted another website of a company that took '56-'62s and made "modern" cars out of them. They made the rear fenders wider by about 2 inches, used the Paul Newman chassis, etc. They sold these cars for around $150,000.

Does anyone remember this and know what that website was?

Rare81, that was quick! That is indeed the thread I was talking about! Unfortunately, my memory about it referring to another car builder was wrong, 'cause I don't see the website I'm thinking of mentioned anywhere in the thread. Thanks anyway for the help! :beer

Thanks Mark, but that's not it either. The one I'm thinking of uses either a '56-'57 or a '58-'62 I can't remember which. I wouldn't be surprised if they went out of business anyway!

Mike I know from the other forum there was a post about a year to a year and a half ago in the C1/C2 section about a builder using an reproduction corvette body from a corvette supplier and they were tube framing it with c4 componets.and calling it the best of both worlds. Good luck

When do you think your is getting together

Mike,

You might be thinking about the RetroVette site which I posted a while back. They do turn-key cars at three levels using a Newman frame conversion. Here is the link: http://www.retrovette.com/RetroFlash.html

Just be sitting down if you look under the Window Sticker information. :eek

Bingo! That's the site I was thinking of, Rich. Thank you for finding it!

Mark, I hadn't seen the Corvette Creation site before. Looks pretty cool! Thanks for the link. I may be "borrowing" some of their ideas too.

My timeline right now can be summed up in two words: "Who knows?" Work has been busy, and I'm actually enjoying it for a change. That spells bad news for the Vette!
