I was just wondering how those compared to the non-Commemorative Z06's... I haven't even seen one on the road!

Is the commerative one an 04? The 03's were called anniversary editions, right?
Correct, '03 was the Corvette's 50th anniversary, and the '04s are in honor the the succes the vette has had at LeMans.

I don't believe there were any major changes to the 04's Vs 03's other than the shocks. In that case, I have ridden in both and see no differences other than the ride.

That kind of stinks for the increase in price. So basically, it's a color change, carbon fiber hood and different shocks for a few more G's?

You're kind of negative, Edmond. Are you sure you're happy to partake in this forum? Afterall, there's only one year difference between them and the new C6 is on the horizon.

I still say that you can gain as much weight loss with a decrease in Whoppers with fries! :L

Or how about a couple of Big Macs?

I love mine! I can't really tell you what the differance is but I can tell you this Z will get you attention.:) Note: The tires have been altered with my computer. Looks cool don't it?

ZO6Nut, that is an awesome looking picture of an awesome car!!!

Is the "computer tire alteration" on your rear tires?? Those are looking like some serious steam rollers!

Does anyone know what the production numbers are on these cars? It may be something to hold onto. I know there is a special Z18 model that is sold in Europe of which only 150 are produced.

No offense, but if you take a look at the number of posts Edmond has on this forum there won't be any question of whether or not he's happy to partake. And, hey...most of them aren't even spam! ;)

*: As per Corvette Quarterly, Winter 2003, pg. 33: "...Z18 is made just for Europe...only about 150 will be produced. The Z18 is actually an interesting mixture of U.S. Commemorative Editon coupe (Z15) and Z06 (Z16) specs. With Le Mans Blue Metallic paint and stripes that mimic this year's C5-R race cars, its outward appearance is similar to the American Commemorative Edition coupe. But the hood panel is carbon fiber like on the Z06, and inside are Z06 seats uniquely embroidered with C5 logos. A standard LS1 engine delivers 350hp through a manual six-speed transmission. For enthusiastic drivers, the greatest benefit of this low-volume collectable is its handling. The Z18 also sports Z06 brake calipers, Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car tires and an upgraded suspension (a modified FE4 system) that was developed on the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany."

Found this on the cac tech center. I was looking for production numbers on the '04 commeritive edition Z06 when I ran across this. Very interesting indeed. Anyway, I am still looking for '04 CE Z06 production numbers if anyone knows or may know where I can find them.

Thanks

Nope, very bad time to sell a nearly brand new but still used car. *sigh* Oh well, worked out for the best since I've nearly lost my job twice now and am definately losing it come September. Good luck with upgrading on your end! :beer

J.,

Sorry to hear that you will lose your job in September. :cry But we all know that you will bounce back with something with less work and more pay! :) Then you'll have that ZR-1 and then some. :beer

Yes your right. I only modified the back tire. I've been looking for production numbers every where. As a matter of fact I found this forum while looking for them.

I'm very lucky to have this Z. There's not another one for miles around. The only I know of on the street is coming to my mod party. :D 2 Z16's at my house... I can't wait.

I do have another Z16 but on a much smaller scale.
