I see the upper header and the lower trim on Ebay lately being advertised as new reproduction stuff. They get $375 for the header! Someone is supposed to be making the lower channel within the next couple of months. I do not rember who it is that is going to be producing it. These channels allways rot out, and have been very hard to find and expensive.

Do you need anything or are we just chatting. I took mine apart to get my corner post chromed and to also polish my stainless. I was lucky with mine as the peice every one told me would be rusty was perfect. It was alot of fun replacing the glass and i am so happy I was able to put the windsheild back together. The most important thing I learned was that "whack" means to really "whack it" with a rubber mallet. I will look to the archives for the post from when I re-assembled mine. Probably wright around this time last year.

Good Luck and have fun

I am a long way from this point....I am "frame boy" right now....last weekend and this past week I was in Germany and Italy for business.....got back today...so this weekend I will be going after the Myers Racing rearend.....trying to get all the pieces "tacked in" so I can get the frame over to someone that really knows how to weld....although I did come across a buy too good to pass up...found a BRAND NEW windshield, still in the box and wrapped up, to fit the '60 for $120....guy had bought it and decided not to use it...it was taking up space in his garage and he wanted it out...turned out he was 10 miles from my dad in Virginia....dad went and picked it up the other day for me.....so, now Sharon and I need to find a weekend that we can drive down to the northern Va area...see my dad....eat some good food and bring home the windshield....

That sounds very encouraging John, even at $375 for the upper SS header. Looks like the upper channel is going to be the fly in the ointment. I'll be checking sources on Ebay thanks for the leads.

Larry, no need to apologize. Looks like you were right about Herb, he just got a windshield, installation can't be far behind. Hope you're feeling better soon.
