A friend of mine has one and I just want to prepare myself for his claims as to how inferrior the Corvette is. He used to have older 911s but never seemed to beat me in a race. I have a pretty strong running '92.

I am confident the LT1 would take the S. Keep in mind the Boxter is a terrific handling car but in a straight line you should have no problems.

I raced a non-S Boxter a couple years ago in my 95 vert. It wasn't even close. As to the S, I'm had hoped for a chance to see one of them run me in my 95 but it never happened.

I know they don't want a piece of my FRC. ;)

Based on some road test results I quickly checked you are about equal to an "S"

Not bad for a car 10 years older and much more affordable!

From experience my 86 w/Z51 and some mild mods, no headers no cam.

Ripped the :booty off of a Boxter, and had to make the S work hard. blew both of them through the lights, the S started to catch up around 70-80 kmh but we had to slow down for the next light. Both were pretty cool and gave me the thumbs up.

with my mild bolt on L98 boxters and regular 911's are no match even past 130 mph :beer

Ah, the Boxster

Also known as "The Porsche with panties"... :L
You should have no trouble at all...
