Remo - Are ya going to start hunting Z06's? ;)

Dwayne - what an interesting idea. The thought never even accured to me.

Remo... you would turn cannibal on us? Your supportive Corvette brothers? The source of your winter meds?

:(

We're all hurt by this betrayal, you know.

Jim,

While at CruiseFest, please bring Remo up to date, as you know, he grew immune to this last batch. :W

It's like this I will live with a semi-polished look, instead of changing the exhaust just to have chromed tips which I can highly polish and shine up, so does it compute now?

And no I am not interested in changing the exhaust,

Patrick - I'm ashamed of myself for even considering the idea of indiscrimately hunting down Z06's. And because it was Dwayne that planted the "evil" thought I'm going to limit the hunt to only "Millennium Yellow" Z06's.:L

P.S. Jim, we definetly need to talk at Cruisefest. After this summer my winter condition is going to be somewhat amplified.

My point wasn't so much around the chrome tips. It had more to do with the idea of "not" considering an after market exhaust system. Not wanting improved performance and get better sound - that's what didn't compute with me.:)

From what I have read the Z06 stock exhaust is going to give about the best performance you are going to get, ,without going to headers or some other route. Also from what I have read, the Z06 exhaust is different then the coupe or convertible. As to the sound ,the stock system sounds pretty good to me.

I am open though to read about other systems which are supposedly superior to the stock system, by superior I am refering to just how much a difference in horsepower.

I think that the only reason to switch out the cat-back portion of the Z06 exhaust would be to change how it sounds. Performance gains (if any at all) would be minimal. You could get some gain with headers and high flow cats, but not with the cat-back.
