They're $395, $80 cheaper than the $475 TPIS large tube runners.
very good product! probably the best on the market. AS&M rock! heard alot of positive things about them :)

then again for that kind of money i picked up a new LT1 intake already to go for L98 motors :D

Mic,

You have me convinced on two things:

1. buy the AS&M runners

2. port the intake manifold myself

As for the LT1 intake, I got one sitting here off a Buick Roadmaster but I really don't have the use for it. I'm not going to run the car at higher RPM's. I'm more of a street driver, no track.

LT1 intake

Haven't kept up with C4 trends in a while...

I thought the LT1 intake wouldn't fit onto an older motor for lots of reasons. Not the least of which the distributor has no place to live.

Please enlighten me.

thanks

There are folks that have made it fit! Like this guy: http://www.lt1intake.com/

The LT intakes are pretty much the same as the Miniram setup. Someone just found a way to take an LT intake with some clever work and fit it onto an older SBC.

as you can see it's been tapped for the distributor and for the heads. external waterneck and all lines and fittings been fitted for the car.

I have an 85 and was thinking about the large tube runners. Do they work pretty good, and do you then need to port. Had the vette in the garage for 2 weeks now, and running out of driving season in WI

Going with the large tube runners by themself won't give you any gains. You would also have to port the plenum, the intake and do some work to the heads along with a more aggressive cam to see big results.
