Ok, found the cigarette lighter in my '88. Now where is the ashtray? There are two cup holder looking holes under the same cover. But no ashtray. Not a smoker, just curious....

Mine was floating around under the passenger seat when I bought my 86. If you can't find one, and really want it (good for change if nothing else), Mid America sells them.

ash tray holds my cell phone quite nicely
have the rubber dukey under the ash tray. The cup holders are not very good cause if you put it in reverse, there goes your drink!!!!!!!!!

I bought a new 03 Sunfire and the ashtray was a cup-with-a-lid kind of thing and it fit right in the vette. Take one for a test & steal the ashtray...

thans for the welcome michael (that's my son's name he's 12 and LOVES the old vette. you might have noticed that i was awake quite late last nite. i have not even gone to the introductions forum yet. i am working out some cooling bugs in my new (old) vette and you folks will be hearing a lot from me. i hope my vette-ignorance don't annoy anyone but right now i gotta rest i was up most of the nite researching posts from folks with similar probs and i think i have found a great source for info and great people as well.
i'm gonna crash for now, i'll be on around 8-9 o'clock eastern time. i'm just outside orlando, florida.

oh by the way....the car runs a little warm but not really HOT. i had a ball in that blue machine today.
