Audio system malfunction in new brand new C7

With only 700 miles on my new C7 I've encountered my first technical glitch. The audio system started cutting out randomly, which is to say during music playback of any kind (FM radio, XM radio, mp3), music stops, and the station presets on the center stack screen go blank. The interruption lasts for one or two seconds, then the station presets reappear on the screen and play resumes. Coupled with this malfunction, the audio volume control buttons on the steering wheel stopped functioning.

I've seen other forums in which other owners reported a similar problem, and it's been suggested that there's a software update available to fix this, by my dealer says there are no tech bulletins related to this problem. Does anyone here know anything about this, or have you experienced it yourself? Any help appreciated.

I would say probably you do have some type of update.
