Hey!

Has anybody put manual valve bodies in an auto trans for the street? Whether it is a turbo 350 or 400, I am asking about both types. Is it worth the money? How well does the trans hold up to manual shifting at the strip and on the street when it was originally designed to shift automatcially? Considering the trouble it is changing an auto trans to a manual, is this a good alternative? If yes, who is the best for price, quality, and ease of operative and setup?

I have a friend who has a manual valve body in his ford c6 and he absolutely loves it. I don't know who would install it but if you ever plan on going with a high horse power situation you might consider art car. I really like their people. I placed an order for a turbo 400 and gear vendors overdrive system decided at the last minute I wanted a 6 speed manual instead and they were kind enough to give all my money back. Very polite even after I canceled my order. I would at least call them for advice because their salespersonel either used to install or still install transmissions. 18885265868 or 17753256282 or www.artcarr.com
