I much appreciate the CAC; enjoy reading about experiances, etc. of other "Vette" owners. Keep up the excellent communication.

;help My '98's passanger headlight will not consistently open, but when I manually open it has not failed to close. I do most of the repair/maintenance myself so any part number or part name is much appreciated.

As a side note, it has 115,000 miles and going strong!!!!! It is my first Corvette and hopefully it will continue to provide outstanding performance and most of all fun!!! :):):)

Sorry, I can't help you, but someone will be along soon and give some advice.

What you need to do is check the little vanilla bump stops on the headlight. You may have one that is heavily worn. You will need to remove the black shroud that surrounds the headlight in order to get a good look at them.

Caution! Under no circumstances do you want to stick your hand into the headlight cavity with the headlights up unless the car is running or you disconnect the power to the headlights. If not, they WILL time out and close on your hand. That will be the most painful thing that you will ever experience!
