Folks, 71Sharks picture post of the Callaway miniatures he has got me thinking... What do you have or, what have you seen out there on the market?

I have a few of the Speedster 1:24 model, the micro machines cars &, the C7's by hotwheels.

Anything else out there, in scale?

I'd like to get a Franklin Mint C12....

Dave

I have all three but there not franlink mint, I forget of hand what brand they are, but there very detailed

1/24 Scale

Callaway offers a model in this size was available back in the ver late 1980s or early 1990s. It was the TT model and at one point was sold over the counter by retailers. It may have been a AMF.

Stan:)

TT Models

As I viewed it on Callaways site/Catalog a number of years ago, it was just a regular coupe. I do understand that a speedster model was also available but I have no info.

Take care,
Stan:) :w

Folks,

I remember having a vendor at Carlisle tell me that he was working on making a TT model. He said he was just about done with it and would have them for sale soon. When I get some time, I will look in my Carlisle pile and see if I can find his info and post it.

Stan thanks for the reply :)

I had considered taking one of my Speedster models and pirating the engine and aerobody components and making a "morph" w/ an 89 C4 model (by the same maker)... I used to do this w/ "other models" to "customize" and I hope it works well here :)
Anyone else try something like this???

Have 3

Have the Franklin Mint C12,#17 of 3500 run signed by Reeves with black marker not silver. For some reason he signed a bunch with black marker(about 100) and did not give them to Franklin Mint but gave/sold them to friends & clients.*** ALSO have a very detailed LM #51 race car(about 6") in a glass case signed by Reeves & Mike Z. that is #5 of 24.Not sure if this one was ever released.**And the green Speedster model still in the box not assembled. That's it!

Tony, that's interesting stuff :cool I came across this unsigned version >>

And then this one signed in silver>>

It is amazing that just like our 1:1 scale Callaway's, the miniature versions can hold so many variables :beer

Signed & Unsigned FM/C12's

The story goes that it took a while for Franklin Mint to get Reeves to finally sit down and sign the finished cars so some early orders were shipped by FM unsigned to some very upset customers who were told to return them to get them signed.A friend of mine has one & did not return it because he thinks it may be worth more unsigned.Got Me???

Tony, That's good stuff indeed :cool I suppose if only a few went unsigned, they may draw some dollars over time but that is pure speculation ;)
Can you imagine how tired your hand would get, after signing your name thousands of times:crazy
- Enjoy :v
