axle marking

please help decode these numbers on the rear axle.
these are from the bottom of the pumpkin right by the spring.

0H008W9E


i thought that was the location for the axle ratio but i cant find any referrence to anything but the W (warren plant) anywhere.

any help would be appreciated.

What year (there's no info in your profile)? If it's a '78 or '79, it's a 3.55; if it's an '80, it's a 3.07. It was assembled the 8th day of the year.

sorry i forgot to mention car year it is a 72.

intersting apparently thats why i couldnt find the code. i was only looking at the 72 ratio chart.

is there any way to determine what year the pumpkin came from .
it has GM 1 stamped on it as well.
