Anyone know how many Aztec Golod verts were made in 87 ???
I think this is rare color combo ?
Thanks

397 Corvettes made in 87 with Gold Metallic (paint code 53). Not sure how many were convertibles in this color, but 2/3 of vettes built in 87 were coupes so I'd guesstimate about 130ish Gold Metallic convertibles.

I wish there was an easy way to figure out specs like this, or like specific interior/exterior color combos. You might be able to find more info in this book: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0933534515/ I thumbed through it at Carlisle and just ordered it from Amazon a few days ago.

GOOD ESTIMATE! I have the book you mentioned. It says there were 133 convertibles in gold metalic for 87. Of course the most rare is the Copper with 35. However, like any of these books they rely on figures from many sources. CorvetteBlack Book is one that comes to mind that frequently must be corrected with each new edition since info is inaccurate. They all are a great baseline however and CorvetteSpecs has many cool photos of development and prototypes...something I'm really into! :cool

I can't wait till I get my copy tomorrow so I can read through it in depth. The author of this book also wrote the Black Book so the info in each book would probably be from the same sources.

I have the Black Book from 2004. I need to pick up a more recent copy and a copy of Corvette Specs too.

And of course we have a wealth of info here onsite in our CAC Tech Center.
