Does anyone have the B&B exhaust on their C5? I'm considering it for my 2004 that is on order as the dealer sells them and would install it shortly after I get the car (museum delivery).

I especially like the "Speedway exhaust" tips. Anyone have these and/or what is your opinion about the tips and the exhaust.

I have B & B Triflow with quad ovals. It has a deep sound but the resonance at 1500 rpm is annoying. My wife has the Corsa Indy Pro Tips and there is no resonance. I like the sound of the Corsa's. The motorboat burble (at idle)is kind of cool. Wide open throttle has a GREAT sound!
Members of our club like the sound of both. Most have gotten the Corsa's because the tips look nicer... My wife wanted the pro tips over the speedway tips, so she got what she wants... I actually like the pro tips better- nicer shiney finish...

This is my opinion.

Enjoy your new Vette!

I have the B&B PRT quad ellipticals. Resonance between 1200 and 1500rpm's in the higher gears can get annoying. I have headers with these and they are relatively quiet cruising around town and on the hiway. When you are accelerating though...you will sound like a drag racer at WOT. The corsa pace car's are quiet until you hit the loud pedal and they sound european exotic. The Borla Stinger has a quieter sound than the PRT's but a deeper pitch. Not as loud as the PRT's. I have heard all three. I had the corsa pace car's on my 99A4 coupe. And have the PRT's on my Z06.

I have B & B Triflow PRT with quad ovals.
It is true it has resonance at 1400 rpm and this is realy annoying specially in 6th gear at cruising speed around 60 and 70 MPH.

Despite that, I enjoy very much the deep sound not loud at cruising speed on european highways (legal speed limit 80MPH and tolerate a little bit over).
At WOT the sound is great may be not loud enough!!

I felt a HP improuvement and noticed a lower RPM for the same speed.
The problem I could mention to me it is a bad quality of inox of the tips and the problem to clean between two tips.

B&B prt's with speed way tips. I like them but also feel some resonance.

The good side is my completeley stock 2002 with a c2 cahssis dynoed with 313 rear wheel hourse power

I am told that a C5 with an a4 lose'e 17% of it hourse power at the flywheel to when it get to the rear ground so

350 x.83=290.50 should have as RWHP mine has 303.5 rwhp so that means a theoretical rwhp increase of 13 prety impresive for a cat back exchaust only. The place I had the dyno done at said a simple intake would really make good use of the exchaust and realley bump it up olot higher

But I can honestlet say I never felf one bit of difference in the car where as my brotherin law who was in the car prior to the exchaust and then after the exchaust said it felt like it lost alot of bottom end /grunt.
ps he did not realize the new exchaust was installed untill after his comment

Anybody have the B&B with the Route 66 mufflers? How do they sound on highway vs the PRT?
