B&M Shifter

I've dropped the engine and the tranny in, and now I'm trying to figure out how to install a B&M shifter without tearing up the console. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

By tearing up the console, do you mean remove it, or modify. If you have the correct B&M shifter it should bolt right in ok, other than maybe adding a shim for left to right so it's centered.

A B&M shifter would fit in there?

Are you talking about one of the ratcheting types? I would really like to install one of those in the car.

I will be replacing the plastic console in the near future anyway, so that would be the time to do it!
