I am finally back home from the official unveiling of the 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray and the North American International Auto Show. It was an awesome trip and a LOT of work, but an incredible opportunity!
Unfortunately, I came home to a driveway and front walkway full of snow. I went in through the garage and passed by my 1990 ZR-1 sitting there; the battery trickle charger slowly humming away. I had to really fight not to go grab the keys and take her out for some exercise, but that's going to have to wait until the Spring time. Spring can't come quick enough!
I hope everyone enjoyed all of the content I was able to acquire there over the last couple of days. In many ways it was a huge learning experience; from fighting with a large media group to get shots of the C7 to figuring out how to operate in that type of atmosphere in the most efficient way in order to acquire the content necessary to bring to everyone here.
My brain is swarming with content!
Let me just say, the passion that GM has for the Corvette is intoxicating. And that passion comes right from the top with GM Vice President and President, North America, Mark Reuss. Mark loves the Corvette and high performance in general. Listening to him talk during an interview - his passion for the marque and GM comes through loud and clear.
This passion pours fourth right down the line from anyone that has anything to do with the Corvette within General Motors. In my opinion, the 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray is an ultimate culmination of that passion in physical form!
I'll be sitting down this weekend to put together an in-depth article on the unveiling which will include content from all of the interviews that I was able to conduct with Corvette personnel.
As soon as I can get the article together, I'll post it in the 2014 C7 Research Center here on the CAC and I'll make an announcement here in the forums. Over the next 24 hours, I'll be updating the 2014 C7 Research Center with new content including the preliminary specs, and press releases, so stay tuned!
