When my 2003 Z06 is cold and the temperature outside is in the 20's , I get a slight backfire between shifts. Is this normal?:confused

You definitely have to let the car warm up more because not doing that is like exercising without stretching. Things may appear to be okay at first, but the risk just isn't worth it. I always warm my car up to a minimum of 150 degree's for the coolant before I drive in sub 60 degree weather.

Two minutes just isn't enough time.
