Bad Injectors

Hi guys.
I am very unhappy with the rebuilt injector I purchased and installed. I’ m on a budget and tried to shop around and purchased rebuilt stock injectors, thinking that they would be just as good as new ones. Afterward three of the eight did not operate properly and their operation became erratic. I replaced all eight of them again and now two are getting hung up and giving me poor performance.
Can some-one please tell me which the best injectors for my ride are? The prices and variety vary greatly...
Where can I find the best price and best fuel injectors for my L98?
My ride is stock and well used and is a good road worthy 1990 and, always starts right up.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciate.

I had some used accels that worked okay for about a year. Most say they are junk. I then bought a set of 30 lb injectors from summit. I think they were Ford racing injectors. They were however around 300 bucks. My brother had his cleaned and flow tested and they have been good for about 4 years now. I think a napa somewhere locally did it.

Is there better performance ?
What about gas millage? As this will be my winter project.

I installed larger injectors based upon what I saw during several scans of my car. I was seeing the duty cycle on the injectors maxed out, which would tell me that perhaps larger injectors would be better sized. My motor is not stock, but for a stock motor 22 lb would be fine, you might be able to get away with 24 maybe.

been having problems with my 90 also and think in between i got some bad gas. have run a couple bottles of injector cleaner and filled up with a different brand gas and it has improved. still a little rough but hopefully with the next fill up it will get even better. maybe try a different brand gas. the gas i have been using has been costing less than everyone else but have been hearing some bad stories about it. as we are close to each other it may be part of your problem if you were using the same brand.

You can find the "pink top" Ford SVO fuel injectors in 24 lb. variety on eBay in the $200 area.

I believe the stock L98 injectors are 22 lbs. but you should be able to drop the 24's in there without any other changes and be okay.

I would only go with new injectors. There has been alot of good reviews on Accel injectors. You could go with RC's but if $$$ are an issue they are a little pricey. I bought RC's for my ZR-1 and they came with test data showing they were with in 1psi of each other. The one thing most people don't realize is when federal law mandated all pump gas contain 10% methol alcohol. Steel injectors don't like alcohol and a rebuilt injector is probably what you are going to get. New ones will be stainless steel and will not corrode. That's my take on it.

My rebuilt injectors seem to be hanging up, that is, the pintle or solenoid inside is not working. The ohmage, resistance is within range, and the pressure is within range, and the voltage is right on, but I can hear that (with a stethoscope) that the injector is just not clicking or working.
Consequently I am looking for a new set. And, buying a rebuilt set was a bad decision on my part.

The box the injectors came in only has a part number (150824) and a UPC of 0 8482980034 8 for identification. No version number is stated. Hope this helps.

If the injectors described in the above link are in fact the ones you have, they appear to be 62 lb hr.... may wanna verify that.

I purchased the Ls1 bosch injectors from Five-0 motorsports.com.:[8 - 1999-00 LS1, 1985-91 L98 - Bosch 0280155890 - NEW ] $365.00 I love them and my 86 runs better and idles smoother than it ever did with stock ones. I think they are 22.5lbs.
