Battery Dead.

My battery in my 88 will go dead for no reason.Some times it will go for weeks before it go dead. Some times it every few days. The car is not driven very often. Checked the charging system it OK. Checked For current draw none. Anyone have ideals or the same problem.

You didn't mention the age of the battery. If there is no current draw with the car off then I would suspect the alternator as being intermittently faulty or a belt that's just not tight enough and loosening more in the colder weather. Things to check anyway.

Battery about 1 year old. Belt new and tight.

Before you condem the battery, FULLY charge it,then have it load tested.The first two places I would look for an interminant draw would be the altenator or maybe one of the relays is sticking. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
