Bent seat belt?

The passenger seat belt (the part between seat and console) has a plastic sleeve. I would think this was to hold it up straight so you can find it easy after getting in. It now has a 90+ degree bend that puts it under your butt when you sit down. Is there any solution besides buying a new one from the General?
:booty And yes I do know if my butt was not so big, I might not sit on the seatbelt :booty

My passanger side latch has a 90 degree bend as well. I always assumed this was normal.

My 86 had the same issue when I bought it...I assumed it was from setting the sun for three years before I bought the car.

Anyway, I took out the seatbelt and heated the plastic over the stove. When it got hot and pliable, I flattened it out. It has been six months and it still stands up straight....
