There are 2 books you need to buy. First the Assembly manual for your car. It's the same from all the companies but make sure it comes with an index. The pictures in there show you whats there and give part number for everything on your car. Next buy the NCRS Judging manual. It describes in detail what most pieces should look like and how they fit. The haynes or chiltons manuals are good for torque values and helpful hints but if you are mechanical they are often insulting.

I would add getting the factory service manual for 1975. I picked one up on ebay for my 80 for $25.00. The vette catalogs sell for a lot more.

Assembly Manual and the Service Manual. Having them will be plenty and perfect. :D
