I have the Anniversary Red vette and trying to decide on using Zaino[synthetic] or Pinnacle Souveran[carnabu] for this color to give a deep wet look. Opinions?

Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax is an outstanding product. I've been using it for the past 2 years and am extremely pleased with it. I've tried many readily available waxes and many mail order only/high end waxes, and the Pinnacle Souveran Paste has no equal on a red finish.

Where can I find the Pinnacle wax you guys are refering to? Is this a Pep Boys or similar store or mail order only?
Thanks

Joe Vette - Pinnacle Souveran cannot be found in retail stores such as AutoZone, AdvancedAuto or PepBoys. This particular wax is part of the Pinnacle line-up and is a mail order item only.

I would suggest that you do a little research for a supplier, as you can typically find it on sale at certain web sites. It is readily available at www.properautocare.com The normal price for 8oz. is about $60.00 to $70.00, but it can sometimes be found for $40.00 and that is why I suggest you shop around for it.

It is a superb, top of the line wax. ;worship

Thanks guys. I really want to try something different on the Mag Red. I'm currently using Maquires Gold Class. Good results but like Yankee I want something deeper. The Mag red seems to react to different waxes. Wanted to go the Zaino route but it just seems to me to be complicated. Maybe not, you ever try it?

I use Zaino and it's no more complicated than any other product . Cliff

I use Zaino now but as they say, "the grass always looks greener on the other side", so I would like to try Pinnacle Souveran on my 03 Ann Vet as I read that this may produce a deeper, wetter look then Zaino.

My car is white not red, but for what it is worth, the Pinnacle wax is great.

They have kits, that include wash, err "shampoo", paint cleanser (remove old wax, non-abrasively), and wax. I also use their interior products and they are fine as well.

I have never used Zaino products, but my buddy at work uses them on his BMW and swears by the stuff.

I think there is a thread in here by DetailingDude that goes into the difference between Zaino, Wax and Polish and the pros and cons of each.

Either way, I am sure your car will look great.
