Hi,
I am a new member, just purchased a 1964 corvette unfinished after a new paint job, have no idea why they filled the holes for all the emblems and bumpers, what is the best way to redrilled, regular drill bits or is any special type of drill bit that I should purchase,

Sometimes other members have their cars apart and may be willing to make a template (by poking holes through a piece of heavy paper with a pencil) of the holes for you and give you the diameter as well. I don't believe you need any special bit to drill the fiberglass. I have drilled mine with regular bits with no problems.

Drilling holes in fiberglass

Hi!

I like to use a hole-saw for larger holes. I drill part way through from the backside, deep enough to score the fiberglass and provide a pilot hole. I then drill from the exterior to complete the hole.

if your worried about clean edges use a brad point drill bit, it's like 2 bits in one,and cuts smoother than your average bit.
