Got going on my Spring project today. I pulled the carb, disty and stock intake manifold of the Big Block today! That stock thing must weigh 60#!!!
I put the cruddy aluminum Performer RPM 2.0 manifold I have over the valley and mocked up the carb and go pedal linkage... everything seems to fit perfect. What I did notice after looking at the car was that it sits about 2" higher in the front than it used to!!! This thing is going to handle MUCH better when I get her back on the road!
I'm trying to track down an endurashine manifold, and then I will button her back up. Then I need to measure and pick a new hood. I am leaning towards the stock style high rise from Ecklers, but I am going to need about 4" of clearance over the fender hood lips to clear the air cleaner.
Hehehee this thing is going to haul AZZ!!!!
